Brenda Carol Jackson Bentley, 64, of Thorsby died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, at UAB hospital in Birmingham.

She was born on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 1947, in Chilton County, daughter of the late Cecil R. Jackson and the late Mary Jeanette Powell Jackson.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her husband, Tom Bentley of Thorsby; son, Clay (Julie) Bentley of Thorsby; grandson, Brooks Bentley of Thorsby; granddaughter, Anna Bell Bentley of Thorsby; mother-in-law, Bess Bentley of Thorsby; sister-in-law, Becky (Mark) Gallups of Gulf Shores; two nephews, Stacy Finley and Shane (Tina) Finley; niece, Susan (JR) Andersen; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Jeanette Jackson, and brother, Tim Jackson.

Friends were received from 5-7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 31 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services were held Saturday, Sept. 1 at 11 a.m. at Thorsby First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Hodges and the Rev. Von McQueen officiating.

Interment followed in Thorsby Memorial Cemetery in Thorsby.
