Rashad Ahmad Shipman and Antwan McCary were arrested July 16 for burglary and theft of property.

The Clanton Police Department responded to a call Monday night of a burglary in progress on Spring Lake Boulevard to find the back door of the residence kicked in.

After stopping a suspicious vehicle leaving the area, officer Chris Wilson observed some of the stolen property in the vehicle.

Investigators were called, and both men were arrested and placed in Chilton County Jail on a $5,750 bond.
