Arleda Edwards Martin, 90, of Verbena died Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at Hatley Health Care in Clanton.

She was born on Saturday, Sept. 10, 1921, in Chilton County, daughter of the late O.F. Patrick and the late Zadie Minor Patrick.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her four daughters, Lucille (Lawrence) Moore, Shirley (Donald) Byrd, Hazel (Richard) Strength and Betty (Curtis) McCary; 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Jimmie Worley, Elsie Culpepper and Ann Bice.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Edwards; and husband, Luby Martin.

Friends were received from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, June 21 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Friday, June 22 at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Brooks and the Rev. Bob Brown officiating.

Interment will follow in Chestnut Creek Baptist Cemetery in Verbena.
