Ralph Lafayette Courtney, 69, of Greensboro died Sunday, June 24, 2012, at DCH Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.

He was born on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1943, in Autauga County, son of the late Thomas Courtney and the late Mary Lucille Calloway Courtney.

He was a minister.

Surviving are his two daughters, Beth (Roy) Kryscuk of Verbena and Jennifer (Russell) Williams of Clanton; mother of Beth and Jennifer, Regena (Sandy) Carlin; sister, Carolyn Ruth (Donald) Graham of Clanton; niece, Talitha (Shawn) Wallace of Clanton; step-mother, Irene Courtney of Clanton; step-brother, Kenneth (Hazel) Boswell of Verbena; and six grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m., Wednesday, June 27 at Chestnut Creek Baptist Church.

Services will be held Wednesday, June 27 at 11 a.m. at Chestnut Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Perkins and the Rev. Derek Deavers officiating.

Interment will follow in Chestnut Creek Baptist Cemetery in Verbena.
