Christine Foshee Smith, 69, of Thorsby died Monday, June 4, 2012.

She was born on Sunday, May 23, 1943, in Alabama, daughter of the late Newton L. Foshee and the late Dovie Dawson Foshee.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her two daughters, Faye (Donny) Franklin of Jacksonville, Fla. and Debbie S. (Brian) Rogers of Hoover; two sons, John Wayne (Kim) Smith of Marbury and Bobby (Jane) Smith of Opelika; five granddaughters, Jessie Smith, Ashley Franklin, Ashlyn Roger, Sarah Rogers and Kristen Pressnell; four grandsons, John T. Smith, Nathan Franklin, Hampton Rogers and Gabriel Smith; three great-grandchildren, Beau Franklin, Michael Jospeh Pressnell and Katie Grace Pressnell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Smith.

Friends were received from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, June 6 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Thursday, June 7 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist No. 1 with the Rev. Chad Foshee and the Rev. Nolin Maudlin officiating.

Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel No. 1 Cemetery in Thorsby.
