Clint Edward Smitherman, 49, of Maplesville died Tuesday, May 1, 2012.

He was born on Thursday, Oct. 18, 1962, in Chilton County, son of Charles Edward Smitherman and Shirley B. Carter Smitherman.

He was a welder-boilermaker.

Surviving are his father, Charles E. “ByJoe” Smitherman of Maplesville; mother, Shirley B. Smitherman of Maplesville; son, Trent Smitherman of Maplesville; two daughters, Trinity Smitherman of Maplesville and Savannah Smitherman of Grove Hill; sister, Vicki (Tim) Williamson of Valley Grande; two grandsons, Ethan Kitchens of Grove Hill and Jayce Plaisance of Grove Hill.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, May 3 at Mt. Carmel Baptist No. 2.

Services will be held Friday, May 4 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist No. 2 Church with the Rev. Lynn Roe and the Rev. William Short officiating.

Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Baptist No. 2 in Maplesville.
