Tigers up to 29 wins on the season

Chilton County’s baseball team won two games on Saturday, 5-2 over Headland and 7-6 over Geneva County.

Blake Teel started on the mound for CCHS in the first game and gave up two runs in six innings.

Cameron Cummings pitched a scoreless seventh inning.

Thomas hit a two-run home run in the seventh to break open a 3-2 game.

The Tigers had only two other hits in the contest, singles by Blake Teel and Trenton Bishop.

Chilton came back from a 6-2 deficit in the fifth inning to win the second game of the day.

Kipp Moore and Craig Headley had two hits each as the Tigers scored two runs in the fifth and three more runs in the seventh to get their 29th win of the season.

Moore, Thomas, Cummings and Garren Minor all pitched during the game.

CCHS will host Greenville beginning on Friday in the first round of the Class 5A state playoffs.
