Clanton saw four wrecks Thursday in less than 30 minutes.
The wrecks happened from 2:56-3:19 p.m., when roads were slick from heavy rain.
Clanton Police Department Chief Brian Stilwell said one wreck involving four vehicles resulted in three people being transported to local hospitals for treatment.
“All injuries were non-life threatening,” Stilwell said.
At 2:56 p.m., one of the vehicles involved in a two-car wreck fled the scene. That accident was at the 900 block of Seventh Street South.
Another hit-and-run occurred at 3 p.m., at the 500 block of Seventh Street South.
“No charges in the hit-and-runs have been filed by CPD accident investigators at this time,” Stilwell said.
A car overturned at 3:12 p.m. at Dunlap Drive, resulting in one non-life threatening injury.
The worst wreck came at 3:19 p.m. Four vehicles, one of which was a U-Haul type truck, were involved in the wreck at the intersection of Highway 31 and Temple Road.
CPD accident investigators are working all the accidents, Stilwell said.
