“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth his handiwork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race. His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof. The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever, the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward. Who can understand his errors? Cleanse thou me from secret faults. Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins, let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression. Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer.” (Psalm 19: 1-14).

Thought for the week: “Just Keep Your Eyes on Jesus.”

“It’s easy to be tempted, to take the path that’s wrong. Just keep your eyes on Jesus and He will make you strong. So often friends may fail you and turn and walk away. Just keep your eyes on Jesus – He’s there both night and day. And when you’re at a total loss, when everything seems bleak, just keep your eyes on Jesus and listen to Him speak.”

Pastor Elijah Good and Mother Ruth Good of the World’s Church of The Living God in Clanton will celebrate his 35th Pastor Anniversary and Church Anniversary on Sunday, March 25 at 11:30 a.m. The theme for this year’s anniversary is “Jesus, King of Kings and Lord of Lords.” Bishop W. C. Hunter, the Overseer of The World’s Church of The Living God in Tennessee, will be the special guest speaker. All groups, choirs, soloists and churches are invited.

Worship service at the Holly Grove Baptist Church in Jemison began with the praise service with the theme “The Place of Ultimate Trust, Commitment on The Decline and Study of God’s Word. We Must Focus Our Worship on God.” Songs sung were “Walk In The Light,” “I Get On Board” and “Like Fire In My Bones (God’s Word).”

The scripture was read by Charles Arrington with prayer by Pastor Dukes, Associate Minister Kevin Nunn and Carl Singleterry. Pastor Dukes brought the morning message. His theme was “It’s Our Time To Reign.” The tail shall be the head, and the head shall be the tail. God said this, do you accept what God said, we must stand and not compromise, but God will be with you regardless of the circumstance. No Christian must disobey God, not humans, by obeying the government. Obey God, not humans. A time comes for you to stand when everybody else is bowing down. Do like the Hebrew boys; stand if you have to stand alone. The Hebrew boys did not bend, they did not bow and they did not burn. They did not bow to a golden image or false God. Christians have to go through the furnace of life. The devil’s job is to try to kill you. Don’t be shocked above evildoers. Survive; it’s your time to reign. Satan intimidates you; he wants the fire hot to control you. Stand for what is right. The Hebrew boys glorified God with their actions. Christians can accept persecution but never accept injustice. God may allow you to get in the furnace, but he will get in there with you. Benediction by Pastor Dukes.
