James Newton Moore

The Rev. James Newton Moore, 92, of Billingsley died Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at his residence.
He was born on Sunday, Dec. 7, 1919, in Chilton County, son of the late Melton Moore and the late Pearlie Wright Moore.
He was a retired assistant supervisor of the assembly department for Continental Eagle Corporation.
Surviving are son, James Ray (Carol) Moore of Billingsley; daughter, Myra (Pete) Burnett of Billingsley; five grandsons, James Karl Burnett of Billingsley, Jimmy Burnett of Billingsley, Randall (Diane) Moore of Verbena, Eugene Moore of Billingsley and Dale Headley of Jemison; five granddaughters, Sherry Villa of Prattville, Sonya Norman of Billingsley, Terry (Ronnie) Hadden of Jemison, Sandra Moore of Verbena and Rhonda Gray of Verbena; daughter-in-law, Hazel Boswell of Verbena; 10 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Bowman Moore, son, Kermit Moore and son, Larry Moore.
Friends were received from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 8 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 9, at Bethsalem Baptist Church with the Rev. Brad Eubank, the Rev. Charles Brooks and the Rev. Oneal Cleckler officiating.
Interment followed in Bethsalem Baptist Cemetery, Billingsley.
