Liberty Hill to host sixth annual Sportsmen’s Spectacular

Liberty Hill Baptist Church’s sixth annual Sportsmen’s Spectacular will feature an afternoon of door prizes, competitions and a delicious wild game supper.

The event is scheduled for March 10 and will include guest speaker, comedian Lee McBride.

Competitions, outdoor activities and registration for door prizes begin at 3 p.m. Supper begins at 4:45 p.m.

The evening will include skeet shooting, an archery competition and a turkey shoot for the adults. Children can enjoy the Kid’s Zone and take part in their own competitions, including casting, BB guns and archery. First and second place trophies will be given for three age groups.

Alligator, deer burgers, camp stew, elk and even frog legs have made the menu in years past. This year is sure to incude delicious wild game cooked by Chilton County locals. While dining, you can enjoy the elaborate decorations–mounted game hunted by members of the local community. The meal and decorations are favorites to regular attendees of the Sportsmen’s Spectacular.

McBride has traveled the country telling life stories and ministering to outdoorsmen and women. According to his website, he gained his experiences from years as a minister and a sportsman.
