MHS pitcher throws no-hitter in first start

Maplesville’s softball team opened its season Thursday with a 16-0 win over Autaugaville, in Chad Harrison’s first game as coach.

Morgan Little pitched a no-hitter in her first ever varsity start.

Every Red Devil starter recorded a hit and scored a run: Little, Autumn Smith, Kiana Andrews, Natalie Arnold, Miranda Chandler, Jordyn Graf, Kelsie Barrett, Kathryn Jones and Skyler Keener.

Little led the team with three hits.

The MHS junior varsity team defeated Martin Middle, 17-14.

Sarina Gutierrez was the winning pitcher.
