Chilton County’s baseball team dropped their second game on Opening Day, 9-3, at Prattville on Monday.
Starting pitcher Cameron Cummings exited the game with one out in the fifth inning and the score tied at 1, but the game slipped away.
Cummings struck out 10 batters.
Craig Headley went 3-for-4 at the plate for the Tigers (0-2), the same line he had earlier in the day during a loss to Central-Phenix City.
Cummings went 3-for-4 against Central and 2-for-4 against Prattville.
“I’m proud of our guys because we hung in both games,” CCHS coach Josey Shannon said.
