Era Mae Edwards, age 85 of Prattville, passed away on Feb. 20, 2012, at her residence.

She was born in Chilton County on April 4, 1926, the daughter of the late Jack Oscar Mims and the late Flossie Boswell Mims.

She was a devoted homemaker.

She is survived by: daughter, Evelyn Johnson of Prattville; daughter, Eula Mae (Kitty) Rawlinson of Prattville; son, Winston Lamar Edwards of Prattville; son, James Lamar Edwards of Prattville; daughter, Wanda Ann Minor of Clanton; son, Henry Eugene Edwards of Clanton; 20 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives.

Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at Ellison-Mims Funeral Home in Clanton.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22 from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Mims Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Driver officiating.

Burial will follow in the Chestnut Creek Cemetery in the Coopers community.
