A resident of a Union Grove mobile home park was arrested Tuesday for arson.

Richard Hand, 51, was arrested after an investigation by the Chilton County Sheriff’s Office and the Alabama State Fire Marshal’s Office, according to a release.

At the time of his arrest, Hand was out of jail on bond for setting mobile homes on fire last year in another trailer park on County Road 61.

Three fires were reported between 3:55 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, leading to the investigation.
