Johnny Earl Scott, age 65 of Clanton, passed away on Jan. 28, 2012, at his residence.

He was born in Chilton County on Jan. 18, 1947, the son of the late Oscar Doverd Scott and the late Christine Day Scott.

He was a truck driver with Shelby Concrete.

He is survived by: wife, Sandra Scott of Clanton; daughter, Deana (Wayne) Campbell of Thorsby; daughter, Lisa (Morris Edwards) Binion of Jemison; daughter, Rhonda (James) Ison of Childersburg; brother, Willard (Denise) Scott of Jemison; sister, Mary (Willard) Binion of Jemison; brother, Wayne Scott of Jemison; sister, Rita (Marty) Liveoak of Maplesville; and sister, JoAnne (Allen) Smith of Mississippi.

Visitation was held from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 31 at Calvary Hill Church of God in Jemison.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1 from Calvary Hill Church of God with the Rev. Douglas Scott and the Rev. Willard Scott officiating.

Burial followed in the Scott Cemetery in Thorsby.
