Talmage Leroy Kelley, age 74 of Deatsville, passed away on Jan. 29, 2012 at Wetumpka Health and Rehab in Wetumpka.

He was born in Chilton County on March 14, 1937, the son of the late Ira Kelley and the late Essie Lee Odom Kelly.

Mr. Kelly was a retired police officer with the city of Montgomery.

He is survived by: wife, Harriet Kelley of Deatsville; son, Mac McLing of Wetumpka; daughter, Virginia Neslein of Deatsville; Sheila Johnson of Deatsville; son, Tal Kelley of Deatsville; son, John Kelley of Deatsville; 11 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; sister, Virginia Henley of Clanton; and sister, Beulah Owen of Clanton.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1 in Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton, with the Rev. Roger Parks officiating.
