Lucas, Genie Mae Lovelady, age 66 of Maplesville passed away on Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, in Montevallo. She was preceded in death by her son, Fred Lucas, and a brother, Herman Calvin Lovelady.

Genie is survived by her husband, Leslie Lucas; sons, Thomas Earl Lucas (Janice), Roy David Lucas (Mandy), and Jerry Leslie Lucas (Donna); sisters, Barbara Ann Lovelady and Ada Lou Wallace (Jack); numerous grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation was two hours prior to her service on Monday at Rockco Funeral Home Chapel. Her funeral service was at 2 p.m. in the Rockco Funeral Home Chapel with Scott Carter officiating. Burial followed in the Salem Cemetery in Montevallo.
