John “Red” Osborn

John Leonard “Red” Osborn, 86, of Clanton died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

He was born Saturday, April 18, 1925, in Chilton County, son of the late George Newton Osborn and the late Ola Haigler Osborn.

He was a machine operator.

Surviving are his sister, Ola Dohlstrom; son, Mike Latham; and daughter, Pat (Terry) Mitchell.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lula Osborn; parents, Ola and George Osborn; sister, Mary Katherine Hayes; sister, Willie Roberts; and brother, George B. Osborn.

Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 26 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 26 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Willard Fredrick officiating.

Interment will follow in Maplesville City Cemetery in Maplesville.
