Julius Collins Burnett, 47, of Clanton died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012.

He was born Saturday, June 6, 1964, in Chilton County, son of the late William Popwell Burnett and the late Mary Frances Collins Burnett.

He was a legal assistant.

Surviving are his sister, Mary B. (Jimmy) Burt of Millbrook; brother, William F. Burnett of Clanton; niece, Mary K. Burks of Millbrook; nephew, Jonathan W. Burks of Millbrook; aunt, Betty J. Collins of Clanton; uncle, Johnny P. DeCarlo of Birmingham; and a host of other family.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Popwell Burnett; and mother, Mary Frances Collins Burnett.

Friends will be received from 10-11:45 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 7 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, Jan. 7 at noon at Martin Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Matt DeBord officiating.
