Verbena’s girls basketball team is still unbeaten after eight games with Monday’s 41-33 win over Thorsby.

Marqueska Deramus paced the Red Devils with 19 points, while Lakeyn Edwards had seven points, Hope Driver had five points and Lacey Short had four points.

Sharonda Cooper had 15 points and seven rebounds for Thorsby (3-6), and Haley Barnett posted a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds.
