Raleigh’s Place, a children’s home in Clanton, is looking for volunteers who have access to dump trucks to help haul dirt, which will be used to fill in roads at the home’s summer camp.

The camp is currently in the final phases of construction. Two cabins and a dining facility are scheduled to be finished in February.

Sharon King, co-founder of Raleigh’s Place, said anyone is welcome to donate construction materials or volunteer to help build the cabins.

“Lumber would be great,” King said.

The Chilton County Commission has offered free campsites at Higgins Ferry Park to volunteers coming in February.

“They are letting campers stay down there for about three weeks while they work,” King said.

Raleigh’s Place is located at 391 County Road 1028 in Clanton.
