The Chilton Autism Network will hold its next meeting on Jan. 12 at 6:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Clanton.

Guest speaker David Bicard, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), will present a program on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), which is derived from scientific approaches to understand behavior and how it is affected by the environment.

ABA is also widely recognized as a safe and effective treatment for autism.

In his interactive talk, Bicard will describe what ABA is and is not, as well as provide suggestions for developing a home program and tips for finding qualified providers.

The meeting is free and open to anyone. Free child care is available, but those interested must make reservations by calling (205) 258-0178 or emailing info@chiltonautism.org.
