Gail Mary Burnette, 57, of Clanton, died Friday, Nov. 25, 2011, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

She was born Saturday, Sept. 4, 1954, daughter of the late Alfred Anthony Okonczak and the late Shirley Penley Okonczak.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are husband, Allen Burnette of Clanton; son, Michael A. Lamb Jr. of Rapid City, S.D.; daughter, Megan Burnette of Clanton; brother, Gary L. (Marlin) Okonczak of Destin, Fla.; sister, Nancy (Mike) Okonczak Miller of Destin, Fla.; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.

Services were held Monday, Nov. 28 at 11 a.m. at Collins Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. William Keith and the Rev. Tom Hilyer officiating. Interment followed in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.
