A car and pick-up truck collided Friday morning in Clanton, sending one driver to Brookwood Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident Friday morning on U.S. 31 in front of the Alabama Power Building.
The driver of a passenger car was transported to Brookwood Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, said Clanton Fire Chief David Driver. A driver in a pick-up truck was not injured. The two drivers were the only people in both vehicles, Driver said.
The accident happened around 10:15 a.m. Traffic in the northbound lanes backed up while a police officer rerouted cars through the Subway parking lot. Both lanes reopened to normal traffic around 10:35 a.m.
Clanton Fire and Rescue, Clanton Police and CARE Ambulance responded to the wreck.
