Joyce Smith Killingsworth, 87, of Montevallo died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011, at Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham.

She was born Saturday, Jan. 12, 1924, in Chilton County, daughter of the late Harley Smith and the late Lettie Morris Smith.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her two sons, Mack (Dixie) Killingsworth of Gardendale and Earl Killingsworth of Montevallo; two daughters, Linda (Tommy) Dennis of Clanton and Nell (Earl) Dennis of Jemison; sister, Kathleen Reynolds of Montevallo; sisters-in-law, Elsie Smith of Jemison and Bessie Mae Smith of Jemison; two granddaughters, Gina Killingsworth of Maylene and Jennifer Bland of Jemison; five grandsons, Jeremy Dennis of Jemison, Derek Willis of Orlando, Fla., Kyle Dennis of Jemison, Bret Dennis of Clanton and Christopher (Jo Anne) Crawford of Gainesville, Va.; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernie M. Killingsworth Jr.; brothers, Lonzie, Bid and Charles Smith; and sisters, Louise Mills and Marcella Harris.

Friends were received from 6-8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 11 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 12 at 11 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church No. 1 with the Rev. Allen Foster officiating.

Interment will follow in Providence No. 1 Cemetery in Montevallo.
