Clanton Police Department detectives are asking for the public’s help to solve a recent string of vehicle burglaries.

The department has received several reports this month of cars being broken into in the Park Drive, Park Drive South and Yellow Leaf Road areas, Police Chief Brian Stilwell said.

In one of the cases, a person was assaulted during the car burglary, Stilwell said.

Officers are looking for a white male in his late teens or early 20s with dark hair and dark eyes. He has been seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a baseball cap with a skull on it.

If anyone has information about the break-ins, contact Detective Robert Bland at (205) 755-1194, ext. 317, or email investigations@clantonpd.org. Tips may also be left anonymously on the secret witness line by calling (205) 755-1194, ext. 321.
