Lorene M. Johnson, 79, of Clanton died Monday, Nov. 7, 2011, at UAB in Birmingham.

She was born Tuesday, Nov. 1, 1932, in Chilton County, daughter of the late Edgar Oliver Meank and the late Evie Mae Ellison Meank.

She was a federal employee.

Surviving are her two sons, Mike (Tamey) Johnson of Clanton and Kevin Barry (Stephanie) Johnson of Valdosta, Ga.; grandchildren, Cody (Audrey) Johnson, Tracey, Katie, Logan and Nicklas Johnson; great-grandchildren, Sara and Laila Johnson; two brothers, Curtis Meank and J.T. Meank; and two sisters, Pearlene Burnette and Paulene Harris.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Calvin Johnson; and sister, Olene Jones.

Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 8 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Powell officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.
