Jesse Lee Wallace, 74, of Jemison died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011, at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham.

He was born Thursday, Aug. 19, 1937, in Alabama, son of the late Roy M. Wallace Sr. and the late Vannie White Wallace.

He was Retired Air Force, a graduate of Highland New Mexico University, and a member of Phi Kappa Phi.

Surviving are his wife, Wynn Wallace of Jemison; two daughters, Patricia Wallace of Clanton and Ashley Wallace of Jemison; sons, Tony Wallace of Albuquerque, N.M., Michael Wallace of Albuquerque, N.M., Preston Wallace of Jemison; stepson, Dale Edwards of Marion, S.C. and Dan Edwards of Marion, S.C.; stepdaughters, Sandra Whitfield of Clanton, Scarlett Nelson of Idaho and Dian Johanson of Sweden; brothers, Aubrey Wallace of Maplesville and Roy Wallace of Maplesville; three grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 1 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 11 a.m. at Rocky Mt. United Methodist Church with the Rev. Willard Fredrick and the Rev. Jim Popwell officiating.

Interment will follow at 1:15 p.m. in Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo. Martin Funeral Home directing.
