David Wayne Gray Sr., 74, of Clanton died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011.
He was born Monday, July 12, 1937, in Prattville, son of the late Luzelle Morris Gray and the late Gladys Hale Gray. He was a minister.
Surviving are his lifelong companion, Eva Gray; his three sons, David (Marilyn) Gray Jr. of Woodstock, Ga., Dennis (Kym) Gray of Clanton and Joshua Gray of San Francisco, Calif.; daughter, Sonya Gray (Tim) Pyron of Phenix City; brother, John (Era Faye) Gray of Clarkesville, Tenn.; three sisters, Betty (Charles) Truill of Marietta, Ga., Pauline (Earnest) Parrish of Thorsby and Frances (Ernest) Driver of Tuscaloosa; grandchildren, Eric Pyron, Brandi Gray (David) Johnston, Will (Skyla) Pyron and Alisha Gray; great-grandson, Joshua Johnston; sister-in-law, Carolyn Gray; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; brother, Charles Robert Gray; and sister, Joanne Anderson. Friends will be received from 1-2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 28 at Bethsalem Baptist Church.
Services will be held Friday, Oct. 28 at 2 p.m. at Bethsalem Baptist Church with Bro. Dexter James officiating. Interment will follow in Bethsalem Baptist Cemetery near Billingsley. Martin Funeral Home directing.
