James “J.C.” Clarence Arant, 28, died Friday, Oct. 21, 2011.

He was born Friday, May 27, 1983, in Chilton County, son of James Stanley Arant and Deborah Russell.

He was a student.

Surviving are his father, Stanley Arant of Jemison; mother, Debi Russell of Chelsea; step-mother, Sandra Arant of Jemison; step-father, Ted R. Howell of Chelsea; step-brothers, Josh Smith of Clanton, Daniel Williamson of Clanton and Ted R. Howell Jr. of Chelsea; step-sister, Sara Miller of Clanton; and grandmother, Joyce M. Russell of Warrior.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 1:15 p.m. at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo.
