Callie Marie Samya, 18, of Jemison died Monday, Oct. 10, 2011.

She was born on Tuesday, April 20, 1993, in Walker County, daughter of Patrick David Samya and Angela Marie Beard Samya.

She was a student at the University of Montevallo.

Surviving are her father, Pat Samya of Jemison; mother, Angie Samya of Jemison; brother, Chase Samya of Tuscaloosa; sister, Cassie Samya of Jemison; grandfather, David Samya of Tuscaloosa; grandmother, Rose Marie Samya of Dora; great-grandfather, Thomas “Bud” Lowery of Dora; great-grandfather, J.M. Nuckols of Berry; and great-grandmother, Judy Nuckols of Berry.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 12 at Pleasant Grove Baptist No. 1, 4270 County Road 50, Jemison.

Services will be held Thursday, Oct. 13 at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist No. 1 with the Rev. Billy Wyatt and the Rev. Lee Taylor officiating.

Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist No. 1 Cemetery in Jemison.
