Monday’s dreary weather was no match for the bright lights and brighter smiles in the 2011 Swedish Fest Pageant at Thorsby High School’s auditorium.

Seventeen contestants, ages 2-4, competed for the Tiny Miss crown, and 24 contestants, ages 5-7, vied for Little Miss.

Other awards this year included Miss Photogenic, Viewers’ Choice and Ad Sales winners.

After all Tiny Miss and Little Miss contestants completed individual walks in their evening gowns, the judges made their final selections, while door prizes were awarded to audience members.

The 2011 Tiny Miss was Averie Ann Littleton. Her court included first alternate Carly Elise McKee, second alternate Ashton Elizabeth Kelley, third alternate and Miss Photogenic Anna Kate Burnett and fourth alternate Alley Claire Popwell.

The 2011 Little Miss was Ivie Hope Littleton. First alternate was Hannah Benson, second alternate was Allie Kate Calhoun, third alternate was Mattie Woodall, fourth alternate was Lilly Frances Speaks and Miss Photogenic was Addyson Williams.

Ad Sales winner was Kam Champion, and Viewers’ Choice was Makiley Rae Porter.

The pageant will continue with the Young Miss, Junior Miss and Miss Swedish Fest categories tonight at 6 p.m.
