Argle Grady Mayfield, 77, of Maplesville died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

He was born Sunday, Aug. 12, 1934, in Bibb County, son of the late Ward Grady Mayfield and the late Velma Ann Mitchell Mayfield.

He was a vocational instructor.

Surviving are his wife, Faye Mayfield of Maplesville; two sons, Garry (Sheree) Mayfield of Maplesville and Jerome (Janet) Mayfield of Orange Beach; three granddaughters, Janice Walley, Morgan Mayfield and Katie Shirling; grandson, Justin Mayfield; and great-grandchild, Jesslyn Maddox.

Services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 11 a.m. at Cox Chapel Methodist Church with the Rev. Leonard Howell and the Rev. Donald Harris officiating.

Interment will follow in Cox Chapel Methodist Cemetery in Maplesville.
