Verbena High School is celebrating its homecoming Oct. 3-7.
In order to show their pride, students and school staff are observing dress up days all week long, beginning with Camo Day this past Monday (“Can’t Hide That Devil Pride”), Twin Day on Tuesday (“Make ‘em See Double”), Career Day on Wednesday (“Fire the Tigers”), Cartoon Day on Thursday (“TOON Out the Tigers”) and Spirit Day on Friday (“Show Some VHS Spirit”).
The student body is participating in decorating homeroom doors, and all decorations must be up by Friday at 9 a.m.
Thursday night the school will have its annual homecoming bonfire, which starts at 7 near the softball field. VHS supporters are welcome to attend.
Friday night, in conjunction with the homecoming game versus Talladega County Central, the Class of 2002 will have its 10-year reunion sponsored by Verbena High School. The class will meet in the home economics kitchen for refreshments and fellowship with each other.
