Sarah Bernice Caver, 86, of Clanton died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011 at Chilton Medical Center, Clanton.

She was born Wednesday, July 15, 1925, in Chilton County, daughter of the late William McKinley Johnson and the late Sarah Alma Dobbs Johnson.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are three daughters, Margie (Wesley) Friday of Clanton, Barbara (Randal) Ray of Bessemer and Debby (Dale) Mims of Clanton; grandsons, Ashley (Leah) Friday of Montgomery and Nathan (Kelly) Friday of Pelham; granddaughters, Vanessa Cleckler of Clanton, Leslie (Jason) Cleckler of Clanton, Mary Mims of Clanton, Megan Mims of Clanton and Lauren Ray of Bessemer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hudson Caver; granddaughter, Emily Denee’ Mims; brother, Arden Johnson; and brother, Calvin Johnson.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 30 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, Oct. 1 at 11 a.m. at Bethsalem Baptist Cemetery with the Rev. Royce Ellison and the Rev. Randal Ray officiating.

Interment will follow in Bethsalem Baptist Cemetery in Billingsley.
