Thomas Wilbert Cleckler, 71, of Clanton passed away on Sept. 22, 2011, at his residence. He was born in Chilton County on Sept. 7, 1940, the son of the late Henry Vinson Cleckler and the late Etta Mae Mims Cleckler. He worked as a truck driver.

He is survived by: son, Josh (Rendi) Cleckler of Verbena; son, John (Candy) Cleckler of Clanton; sister, Seretha Hamilton of Millbrook; friend and caregiver, Patsy Jones of Clanton; seven grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, at 11 a.m. from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Mims Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Langston and the Rev. Thurmond Cleckler officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Springs Cemetery in Clanton.
