George Oneil Littleton Sr., 74,  of Clanton died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

He was born Friday, Oct. 2, 1936, in Chilton County, son of the late George W. Littleton and the late Sarah Rutherford Littleton.

He was a salesman.

Surviving are his daughter, Janet Thompson of Clanton; son, George Littleton Jr. of Clanton; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Odis Littleton and Orville Littleton; and three sisters, Olean Bratton, Olysnell Horton and Orma Jean Mims.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Littleton; and daughter, Margaret “Margo” Farmer.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 22 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Friday, Sept. 23 at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Willard Scott officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.
