Game slips away from Panthers in third quarter

Jemison fell to Bibb County, 56-35, on Friday despite being down only one point at halftime.

Bibb County scored the game’s first 14 points, but Jemison pulled to within one on a pass from Tre Bryant to Randy Satterfield with 9 seconds remaining in the second half.

But Bibb then scored 34 points in the third quarter.

The Choctaws only threw one pass in the game, getting 287 yards rushing and four touchdowns from C.J. Cutts.

Kevin King had 20 tackles for the JHS defense.

Bryant completed 20 passes in 27 attempts for 278 yards with one rushing touchdown and two passing scores to Satterfield, who had 96 receiving yards.

Eddie Hubbard caught nine passes for 135 yards and also had a 93-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.

Javae Swindle ran 13 times for 66 yards and a touchdown.
