After an Isabella victory Thursday over Marbury, IHS volleyball coach Glen Graham this weekend will try for his 350th career win as the Mustangs host a tournament.

Isabella won Thursday, 3-1 (21-25, 25-19, 25-15, 25-13).

“About halfway through Game 2, something clicked,” Graham said. “We could’ve played with anybody in the state [Thursday] night. We had so much energy. It was one of the top five matches we’ve ever played here.”

Landy Griffith led the effort with a career-high 15 kills to go along with six aces, while Allison Mims paced the defense with 19 digs. She also had three kills.

Savannah Kissel contributed 10 kills, seven blocks and seven aces.

Khadijah Craig had seven kills and five aces, Heather Posey had 15 assists and two aces, and Misha Carroll had nine digs.

The sixth-ranked Mustangs are 15-3 on the season.

Graham’s next win will be his 350th, and he’ll have several chances Saturday.

The first match of a one-court, round robin tournament will be played at 9 a.m. Billingsley, Dadeville, LAMP and McAdory are participating in addition to Isabella.
