Tigers pick up area win

Chilton County’s volleyball team evened its area record at 1-1 Thursday with a 3-0 (25-8, 25-14, 25-18) win over Paul Bryant High School.

The Tigers (2-6 overall) won the first two sets easily, but the visitors were more competitive in the third set, hanging around until CCHS won the last four points.

Brooke Lewis led a strong Chilton serving game with six aces. She also had three digs.

Kayla Ray aced the Stampede five times. She also had three digs and two kills.

Kacy Sanders assisted on 21 points for the hosts.

Keondra Looney had five kills, Diana Guerrero had three kills and Keona DeJarnett had three digs.
