Maplesville moved into a tie for eighth place with Cedar Bluff in this week’s Alabama Sports Writers Association football poll.

The Red Devils have been ranked in 33 consecutive ASWA polls, dating to Oct. 22, 2008.

No other Chilton County area teams are ranked.

MHS defeated Vincent, 35-14, in its season opener on Aug. 26 and hosts Keith at 7 p.m. Friday.
