The Central-Coosa Cougars officially started the Richard Bell era last night in Rockford, as they hosted the visiting Isabella Mustangs, falling 47-16.

The Cougars got on the board early as quarterback Jalan Thomas completed a first quarter pass for 72 yards to wide receiver Javaris Whetstone to take the score to 8-0.

Thomas led the Cougars both on the ground and in the air, as the CCHS star finished the night with 5-of-11 passing for 98 yards, to go along with 72 yards rushing on the ground.

Although they hopped out to an early lead, the Mustangs scored 41 unanswered points throughout the rest of the contest.
