Clarence Baker, 74, of Clanton died Friday, Aug. 19, 2011, at Chilton Medical Center in Clanton.

He was born Tuesday, June 15, 1937, in Chilton County, son of the late Carlton Baker and the late Effie Lee Thomas Baker.

He was a maintenance.

Surviving are his three sons, Clarence Ray Baker of Clanton, Michael Kenneth Baker of Clanton and Eddie Baker of Clanton; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four sisters, Veranell Knight of Clanton, Voncille Wyatt of Clanton, Emma Jean Moore of Clanton and Kathy Farris of Clanton; brother, Glen Baker of Clanton; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith M. Baker.

Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 20 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Sunday, Aug. 21 at 3 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in Providence No. 2 Baptist Cemetery.
