Richard “Rick” Ruis Russell, 54, of Clanton died Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at Chilton Medical Center in Clanton.

He was born Monday, Dec. 3, 1956, in Butler County, son of the late Charles Ruis Russell and the late Frances Ruth Lee Russell.

He was a building inspector.

Surviving are his wife, Lynn Lee Russell of Clanton; sons, Taylor and Lee Russell of Clanton; sister, Lee Ann (Randy) James of Columbus, Miss.; three brothers, Marty (Diane) Russell of Letohatchee, Alan (June) Russell of Tampa, Fla. and Scott Russell; mother-in-law, Annette Lee of Clanton; and brother-in-law, Mike (Lisa) Lee of Montgomery.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frances Ruth and Charles Ruis Russell; and father-in-law, James Taylor Lee.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Friday, July 29 at Clanton First Baptist Life Center.

Services will be held Saturday, July 30 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Clanton with the Rev. Jimmy Tompkins and the Rev. Matt DeBord officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.
