Clanton Police continue to look for two suspects who stole more than $10,000 worth of computer software from Walmart. The theft took place Tuesday around 9 a.m.

Police have identified this man and woman as suspects in a recent theft of $10,000 in computer software from Walmart.

The suspects include a white male with tattoos and a white female. The two left in a green Mazda 3, which police think was a rental car and are likely from out of town, according to Cpl. Robert Bland.

The woman concealed the merchandise by putting the software  in a big purse she was carrying.

The male suspect actually bought an “R” rated DVD while in the store, using what the cashier thought was an out-of-state drivers license. He also flashed what looked like a police badge and claimed he recently finished police academy or cadet training.

Police have identified this man and woman as suspects in a recent theft of $10,000 in computer software from Walmart.

Fingerprints were collected from the scene and will be used in the investigation. The store’s surveillance cameras also captured the suspects and their car.

The department is working with other agencies to see if similar crimes took place elsewhere in the area.

Bland said the software would likely end up for sale on websites like eBay.
