Vera Irene Easterling, 76, of Clanton died Sunday, July 24, 2011, at Chilton Medical Center in Clanton.

She was born Tuesday, Aug. 7, 1934, in Coosa County, daughter of the late John E. Ingram and the late Eunia Ann Wilson Ingram.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her two sons, Ray (Brandi) Easterling of Clanton and David (Sandra) Easterling of Clanton; two daughters, Kay Conell of Clanton and Gennie Sanders of Sopchoppy, Fla.; 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Wayne Ingram of Jemison, Steve Ingram of Sopchoppy, Fla. and Carl Ingram of Jemison; two sisters, Myrtice Preston of Clanton and Margaret Thweatt of Sylacauga. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles David Easterling; brother, Roy Ingram; sister, Marie Easterling; and great-grandchild, Shelby Connell.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, July 26 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Wednesday, July 27 at 10 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Ingram officiating. Interment will follow in Archers Chapel Methodist in Clanton.
