In a short meeting Monday, the Clanton City Council rezoned a property at 307 First Ave. N. The house on the property will go from Residential-1 to Office-1 after a public hearing in which no one spoke against the move.

In other business, Jerry Grooms spoke to the council about cleaning up and removing dead trees from an unoccupied property next to the American Legion Post.

“We need some help to clean it up,” Grooms said.
