For the second consecutive day, some Clanton residents lost power off and on in the afternoon hours.

Alabama Power spokeswoman Jan Ellis said the company was troubleshooting the issue on Wednesday and that crews were riding the roads trying to find the cause of the problem.

On Tuesday, power outages affected more than 2,000 customers starting just after noon, before being restored to customers just after 2 p.m.
