Jesse Dewayne Mims, age 39 of Clanton, passed away on July 12, 2011, at his residence.

He was born Aug. 4, 1971, in Clanton to the late James Ralph Mims and Margaret Edwards Mims Fuller.

Mr. Mims worked as a truck driver.

He is survived by: wife, Misty Mims; son, Matthew Mims; son, J.J. (Cassi) Mims; daughter, Lacey (Brandon) Fulgham; granddaughters, Haley Fulgham and Alexis McCary; one grandchild on the way; mother, Margaret Fuller; stepfather, Sammy Fuller; stepbrothers, Chris Fuller and Sammy Lee Fuller; stepsister, Karen Lee; and a host of uncles, aunts and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father, James Ralph Mims.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 14 from 5-8 p.m. at Ellison-Mims Funeral Home in Clanton.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 15 at 2 p.m. from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Mims Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Hardee officiating.

Burial will follow in New Hope Baptist Cemetery in Jemison.
